28 October 2021 Paris France to Hollywood Florida

38 is the magic number for this series of flights home.  We woke up at 7AM Paris time (1 AM Eastern time).  Some breakfast first, a ride to the airport so we can go through all checkpoints and barriers.  Our gate was number 38 in terminal 2 at Charles De Gaul Airport.  We arrived the recommended 3 hours before our flight hoping that we could spend some of that time in the lounge.  But as we had been warned the AA lounge was closed.  SO we set up shop at gate 38.  It was located in a strange circular building off to the side of the main terminal.  We loaded onto the plane and got one last glimpse of the Eiffel Tower.  Fast forward 8 hours and we descend into JFK and land at gate 38 in terminal 8!  We breeze through customs / immigration and this time the AA lounge is open.  Re re-hydrate and eat some veggies and fruit.  Then it was off to gate 38 again but in a different terminal.  This last flight was very bumpy as we had to fly over big storms.  It offered great views of the sunset and the clouds all along the flight.  We landed in Miami at, you guessed it, gate 38!  A great trip, twice delayed, is twice as nice!  Bravo to our European Escapade, I give this trip five stars!

Look out these windows and you see our spaceship type to terminal
