Last hop on hop off ride

Locks in a canal, a cemetery and a sports stadium founder statue and dinner at the pub.

Mummies at a crypt

This sounded better than it actually looks but who could pass up touching a 900 year old mummy?  we went to St. Michans church and took the tour.  It was dark in the church, dark in the crypt, so MUSTY we were all sneezing.  I just sneezed thinking about it.  Cool windows in the church.  Creepy dead people in the crypt.  Kristine took them up on the offer to touch the mummy.

A walk with a few notable bits

A quirky sign, cool buildings,, a tiny admirals outfit, and more of the bases of columns.

A cool pint glass shaped art piece

This thing stood 8 feet tall, had a base made of wood, has metal horses coming out of it and was just plain cool.  It is a Guiness masterpiece.  I got so caught up on the details that I forgot to take a photo of the whole thing.

A quick lunch then off to the Vikings .

We wanted something quick to replace the taste of the Guiness so we w as led to a pub.  The pub was a bit too authentic so we went to a bistro\ bakery .  Great choice.  Then it was off to Dublina the story of a small Viking village that grew up to be Dublin.  We passed the only remaining part of the old wall on the way.  Tyler tried on the clothes.  There was a skull from the 1100's that they reconstructed. There was a tower we could go up that was from the adjacent church.

Guiness Beer

We got to Guiness early and since it was not raining it was not too crowded.  There are four ingredients in Guiness, water, barley, hops and yeast.  They covered each ingredient thoroughly.  Then they covered the barrels, the boats, the trucks and the trains that hauled the beer.  Then they covered the advertisements.  We got to pour our own pint and then we went to the 7th floor bar.  It is all windows and looks out on Dublin.  Lots of fun.
