We had to take a slight detour to be able to go to petras stone garden. It was well worth the extra 25 minutes the garden is both a stone collection and a flower garden. It is basically a personal collection of a woman named Petra who collected rocks and minerals from this region of Iceland. The garden is flowers from all over. Flowers we we had never seen, the ladies loved the flowers and I loved the rocks. Later on I even stopped to do some rockhounding of my own but came up empty, so it goes...
