21 December 2024 Brisbane: Dogs at the New Farm Market and a Fun Happy Hour

We went to the New Farm Park for the Farmers Market.  On the way, there were lots of birds along the river.  I took a few pictures of them as we walked.  At the market we saw lots of dogs so I took pictures of them too.  We headed back with our fruit and vegetables and got ready for our happy hour with Adrian and Lisa.  These folks are our neighbors who have been so very friendly and welcoming.  They have a fantastic apartment decorated with First Nations Aboriginal art pieces.  Lisa had worked with that community for years and much of her collection was gifted to her.  Adrian has just turned 65 and recently had a party at their place.  At the party one of his gifts was a bottle of gin specifically mixed for him and called Uncle Hat.  Uncle Hat is his nickname given to him by his nephew who lives here in Brisbane.  They have a fantastic attitude which is positive and open.  We fit right in with that energy.  Our happy hour turned into two, then three and finally around 9:30 we called it a night.  This was a fantastic experience and a super fun night for us both!
