The New Farm area has historical significance. Because of this any renovations or modifications to existing historical buildings must keep the facade of the building intact and also conform to various rules. We have seen several locations where they just raise up the entire building and build a modern house underneath it. That way the foundation, plumbing and wiring is all new and the exterior can me made to match the building up on the top. We are able to see this process in various stages as we walk around in the neighborhood We have been spending the last few days planning the trip. Constant travel requires continuous maintenance and planning. While working through the trip we discovered that we needed to get some flights and book several hotel rooms. We used miles to get from Japan back to Australia in 2025 and to get to Paris from Australia after that. We also did a major overhaul by taking our planned South America trip out of the plan completely. The goal is longer stays with shorter distances between them.
