While reading the Style magazine, Leslie came across an article about a burlesque show, Blanc de Blanc. We immediately booked two VIP seats, nothing but the best for TeamLeip! The VIP seats came with a glass of champagne and they were right nest to the part of the stage that jutted into the audience. This is the platform for the acrobatic acts that used the rope that was attached to the ceiling and the pole that attached tot he center part of this round stage. The main stage was further back but there was a walk way to the front stage. We took the bus into town and had a bite at Ichiban Sushi. Then we walked the length of the Queen Street Pedestrian mall and over the Neville Bonner bridge. There was a graduation ceremony going on at the Star Brisbane so we saw graduates in caps and gowns, lots of flower bouquets and a few teddy bears also in caps and gowns. This was our first time crossing this pedestrian bridge and it took us right to the Ferris wheel on South bank. We walked another dozen blocks to get to the West End where the theater was located. We worked up a sweat while walking so some gelato from Anita Gelato was required to cool down our core temperatures. The show was a whirlwind of action, singing and low comedy. The two MC's, Reme Martin and Felix Pouliot, started out the show with some banter, simple enough, except one of them had a false set of testicles hanging out of his fly. They really worked this gag to the delight of the audience. Each cast member had their own talent. Sasha Saunders, from South Africa, was the best singer, Ethan Harris was the high flying acrobat, Jackie Chambers was the best dancer and has performed with Dup Lipa, and Caitlin Tomson-Moylan has won medals at the Circus Performers Olympic Games. These folks were all incredibly talented. They sang, danced, lip synced, and bared it all for our entertainment. Of course the nudity was blocked by various props in the different numbers. It cumulated in a bit where the aerialist, Caitlin Tomson-Moylan, circled over the crowd pouring champagne into glasses and into open mouths. What a blast!
