25 February 2023 Puerto Banus: Saturday Market on the Hill

We walked the 1.5 km to get to the Saturday Market on the hill.  It is next to the bullfighting arena and stretched along the road for several blocks.  It was mostly clothes, bags and jewelry but we found some veggies and live plants.  I tried on a few hats and got "goldilocked", the hats were too big or too small but none just right.  We wandered and looked and walked about.  There were some fine views of the water and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Oh the humanity!

Belts, shirts, sun and fun

All the shawls

We did not need any furniture

Or basketry

24 February 2023 Marbella: Walking the Pier

Champagne dreams and caviar wishes is how we are feeling in front of this mega yacht.  We walked out to the end of the breakwater and drank in the sweet scenery.  The mountains ringing the harbor, boat after boat in the marina, large white buildings all matching our mental imagery of the Mediterranean coast.  The day is sunny and although we find it a tad bit chilly, it is February after all.

This is a cool statue

It is hot and cold.  No wind with sun, too hot, wind with sun cool, no wind without sun chilly. wind without sun cold

A large lighthouse on this end

Very large sail boats docked up

22 February 2023 Marbella: We Head to the East Along the Walkway

The wind was calm and the sun was bright, perfect weather for a walk.  The walkway started out "paved" with a mixture of concrete, bricks and stones.  Some places are easier to walk on than others and the walkway leads to the footbridge pictured above.   After the bridge the path is sand and there are deep places where the bikes dig into the sand and wipe out!  We have to keep our eye on the ball while walking.  We got to a wooden board walk that was just above the water line and we watched  the tide come in.  It was very peaceful and we are enjoying some stationary time at the shore.  Ahhhh can be heard in the apartment often as we are relaxing.
