20-21 February 2023 Marbella Spain: Last Flight For Two Months and a Month in Marbella

Langoustines!   We landed in Malaga and then took a car over to Marbella.  It is actually Puerto Banus just outside of Marbella.  Our check in went reasonably well but it took a while.  The AirBnB was top shelf good.  We have a view of the Mediterranean Sea and we are just steps from the beach.  There is a spacious walk way along the beach that goes on for miles.  We are just a few hundred meters away from stores, restaurants and groceries.  This is optimal as we will need quick access to tonic water.  There was a sale on Bombay in the airport.  2 liters of Bombay Sapphire for 44 Euros was impossible to pass up.  Our contact was named Lara and she gave us good pointers on what is where and where to go to get there.  She sent us to a great grocery on par with Loblaws in Canada and the Turbo in France,  Imagine an isle just for anchovies, a cheese vault the size of two rooms, an entire isle for olives and also a fresh fish display with 40 different kinds of fish and a butchery counter next to the charcutiers counter.  The most impressive area had a display with 150 entire Iberian hams, hoof and all, wrapped in foil, some with one meter long sausages attached, some with a wheel of cheese attached and this was just one small corner of the store.  The Wine section encompassed six rows of wine racks 3 meters long loaded with wine.  More photographs are necessary.  We had dinner in the AirBnB both nights and slept soundly as well.  We woke up on the 21st to a fine view of the Sea and a fine brew of tea.  More settling in for us.  The windows all needed to be cleaned as the sea air had them crusty.  We took a walk along the beach to the west and went back to the store for more items.  We also took an Uber to Sticky Fingers and joined the club.  We have found that Uber and Google both come close to the locations but never seem to get us to the exact place.  That is putting the venture into our adventure.

We had a crazy time in this huge airport.  T4 was printed on out boarding passes so that is where we went.  We actually needed the K gates which are not in T4.  Two tram rides, two trips through security and finally we got to our gate area!

But the plane is so small that I cant bring my carry onto the plane

A big and beautiful airport nonetheless
