We took a three mile walk along the beach and through the graveyard. It was partly cloudy. When the sun was out it was hot and when it was not there was a hint of chill in the air. We stopped and spoke with a man that had two small chihuahua sized dogs with long tails. The dogs were suspicious of us but we had a fine talk, Two large dogs interrupted us and eventually they were so bothersome that the gent had to walk off to avoid the beasts. So we continued on ourselves. We cooked dinner as the rain started up again. We were happy to be home and dry over here in the Wet side of New Zealand.
