26 January 2026 Paphos: Exploring by the River and Airport

Leslie dropped me off out by the Airport where the paved road ended so I walked in on foot.  I saw lots of farmland, cement trucks, big tanker trucks, citrus trees of every kind and a few birds here and there.  There was some scary graffiti, stinky odors from the sewage plant, a mostly empty riverbed and barking dogs galore.

Lush green fields

A most interesting windmill

Maybe is is the mishrooms!

Please keep the riverbed clean

No water here to speak of

Paphos off in the distance

Remerging into the paved road area

The sea!

These big tank trucks are right next to the sewage plant, delivering or picking up?

Old airplanes

Palm trees, the sun is making it warm

Inland boat storage or an emergency tsunami plan

An exotic yardbird

Half a dozen barking dogs

A hint of water in the riverbed

Burn baby burn

Eyes in the sky

So many oranges

A common buzzard

More fields

A succulent plant, my five mile walk is over
