Out time in Rome is quickly running out and the Forum area is our last big excursion. There are six entrances to the Forum. The main entrance is by the colosseum and it is the busiest. We did some searching and found out hat there is an entrance next to the Mamertime Prison where there was no waiting. An added bonus is that from this direction we could visit the complex while moving towards the colosseum exit. These fantastic ruins here are practically on top of each other and so we just strolled along and gawked. This was the warmest day yet and we tried to get there earlier than is our norm. That paid off as it was actually hot when we were nearing the end and we found ourselves darting from shady spot to shady spot.
