After climbing up a serious set of stairs we arrived at the Capitoline Hill and the Capitoline Museums. Upon our entry we saw the gigantic parts of a Constantine statue. The hand you see above was from such a colossus. Other notable items were works by Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Titan, Reubens and more. There museums spanned two different buildings. Lots to see!
At least we did not have to go back down as well as up these stairs

A very old temple was found dating to 6th century BCE that was 6 meters below today's road level
