From the Capitoline Museums we walked a bit to get to Guenda restaurant. Supposedly they stop serving at 3:30 so that was the time of our reservation. We picked it because it was close tot he concert location and it has some google cred. Since we had three hours to spend here we first ordered drinks, then appetizers and then our late lunch-early diner orders. There were a few new Gins for us to try and Laura had a Tito's martini. Or food was great, we got to talk to the owner and before we knew it it was time to head over to the concert. The concert was Vivaldi's Four Seasons in candle light. A string quartet played masterfully, left us speechless and wanting more.
Caprice salad
The Neptune salad with salmon and avocado
Tuna tartar
A new gin
A fancy way of putting the olives in the drink
A creamy cheesy pasta
Meatballs with ample sauce
Carbonaro
We dined in a cave like room
Limoncello and ice cream for dessert
A ricotta cheese cheesecake
A pistachio chocolate souffle
We have outlasted
All of the other diners
Not knocking the knockers on the way out
Just down this street is the concert
Huge street lamp
Up the stairs
Good thing that these are electric
If they were real candles, someone would be going up in flames
A small and intimate place
The musicians have arrived
So much fun
This tune will be stuck in my brain for days
Bravo!
And then it was over
More candles on the way out
Still some daylight as we walked along the concert stage
We hailed a cab and made it home pretty quick
