Up we go to the top of the Grand Ring. There stairs and elevators but the escalator gives the best ride. We continued or trek thru the Expo from up on high. 70% of the wood was sourced in Japan and the other 30% is Scotch pine. The platform is 15 meters above the ground level and the entire structure is designed to be disassembled. All the buildings took aims at recycled or recyclable materials, disassembly and carbon footprint. The theme of the Expo was "Designing Future Society For Our Lives." It was organized into three sub themes, Saving Lives, Empowering Lives and Connecting Lives. The pavilions are grouped within these sections according to how they fit the theme.
