We loaded up the car early and headed back to the north east to Cullera. It was a Sunday and although we have said it many times, never try to leave a town in Europe on a Sunday. We had to dodge the Fuengirola half marathon that was going to close off the streets that we needed to use to get out of town It was a six hour drive and we were finally getting used to the uncomfortable car. The drive was just as geographically varied as it was on the way down. Coming from the other direction, we saw different castles and landmarks and before we knew it we were pulling into the apartment. The parking spot that we had used earlier was no longer available as the heavy rains that came through when we were gone washed out part of the parking area. So I had to find a place to park which was not easy. Sundays are family time here and since the parking is free on a Sunday, all the spots were taken. I found a large open space that was filled with cars so I put the car there. I moved it closer after 5 PM when some spots opened up.
