East of Malaga is Pederagalejo, a tiny former fishing village. It has a beach side entertainment area, a sushi restaurant and a chic reputation so we wanted to give it a look. We drove along the coast to get to the village and then we kept driving till we ran out of civilization. We turned it around and headed back for our lunch reservation. We had some fine sushi and a bone marrow scallop dish the was superb. We poked around along the beach and realized that this neighborhood did not meet all of the criteria so we got back in the car. It took 45 minutes to drive back to Fuengirola and get back into the room. We looked up restaurants and found that the Schnitzel Hut was highly recommended and really who does not crave a schnitzel?
Yes, we have a reservation
A busy kitchen
Upstairs soundproofing
Elegant
A honker of a bone
Old fishing boats outside
Classic old houses but not new enough for us
A shack selling fresh cooked fish
Sardines on a stick and a big fish to boot
Malaga way off in the distance
A funky roof top bar
Back in Fuengirola before dark
Mr. Leonardo!
Our hotel
This area must be the dining area. There are restaurants all right next to each other like a strip mall
But also next to the marina
In time for the dog parade
Senor Woof
Working on the boats
Sailing is labor intensive
Time for our own photoshoot
Working it!
The chicken agrees
Our waiter brought out zero tonic for us and we did not even ask
Back to looking at the water
And the tattooed patrons
My schnitzel
Leslie's schnitzel
Here comes the sunset
Looking pretty
The gin is hitting!
Back in focus!
A bit of dessert
Through the ramparts we go
The dinner time entertainment has ceased
