7 November 2025 Fuengirola: An Exploration of the Fuengirola Area

We watched several Youtube videos about the Costa del Sol, but nothing is better than actual boots on the ground.  This coast stretches from Malaga down past Puerta Banus, the town we stayed in back in 2023.  We are lookin to find a town that has good public transportation, is close to a major city but is still small enough to have everything we need close by.  We liked what we had seen about Fuengirola online so we made this our home base.  We used the car to drive along the coast to also see some of the other towns along the coast in the direction of Malaga.  The drive was fun and we saw lots of places along the coast.  Then we drove back and went to the mall in Fuengirola.  We had lunch and then headed out on foot to explore more of this little town.

This dome was in the hotel and over the restaurant and we could see it from the elevator

Nice calm waters

The hotel was nicely decorated

We are headed out and driving along the N340, the main drag on the coast
