We headed out into a new part of town specifically looking for trekking poles. On the way we checked out a nail salon but they only did the fancy gel nails that Leslie did not want. The Japanese girls certainly prefer these gels and the bigger the better. We took a new subway up to an outdoor store and I found my poles. It was very hot and the city holds its heat. When we went out for dinner it had cooled off and was pleasant. For a real change we got burgers for dinner!
Good green tea at a bargain price
Not sure what is riding on her back but everyone has big smiles
Hollyhocks
Poles!
So many folks have flowers planted. Even if the space they have to plant is very small, there always seems to be a plant or two
For dinner we wanted something exotic!
Jacksonville sounds exotic
Exotic for these parts is an American style hamburger
We ordered a drink, a horseradish sour for me and a gin soda for Leslie
Instructions on how to eat these exotic items. There was a wrapper to put the burger in. The wrapper would avoid spillage and keep the fingers clean. However they said that the authentic American way is to "grab the burger up with your bare hands and bring it close to your face and bite into it"
So much hamburger memorabilia
The cleanest cement truch known to man
Beer drinking tree
The smallest of trophy racks
