We had seen on the Youtube that Milk Mura serves ice cream with a unique twist. First the soft serve ice cream is served in a cold mug instead of a cone. This allows for a more leisurely eating experience. Secondly the customer can choose from a huge variety of cordials to drip on the ice cream. Everything from brandy, tequila, absinth, whiskey to tasty schnapps. There were two options on the menu. One was ice cream with a tiny crepe and some cream with two kinds of liquor. The second choice was ice cream and three kinds of liquor. Leslie chose the first and I chose the second. When I say there were many liquors to choose from I mean it, there were probably 50 different varieties. I chose a Hokkaido apricot brandy, limoncello and absinth and Leslie chose green tea and rose flavored schnapps. They gave us another bonus liquor, black tea. There were instructions on how to properly eat the ice cream and booze. We had a great time trying all the flavors and the specific instructions all the while listening to French songs. We were the only customers in the shoppe for the majority of the time but at the end another pair of folks showed up.
We had a hard time finding the place.
Most places had just a tiny sign on street level
Up on the 6th floor we found our special place
Both choices cost 2000 yen
Very specific instructions
All the choices of liquor
Big swirl of ice cream
Step one is to eat the ice cream down below the cup's edge
Leslie's crepe, cream and honey pot
The black tea
Brandy, limoncello and absinth
Green tea and rose schnapps
Kitty cookies
They served coffee and luckily it was just a small amount
These tiny ladles were to drip the booze onto the ice cream
Drip drip
And then eat
My coffee came in a penguin cup
The cookies are gone but the kitty has a fish
Hennessy!
The damage is done
Do crows smoke?
This one must
Or he just likes the box
Back on the trolly
Taking the outside loop
