Our friend Alice told us about this Jazz club and we booked a Friday night show. The band was called Three Train and it is a trio of young guys on piano, electric guitar and stand up bass. They usually have a guest musician play with them and on this night it was an older gentleman playing the drums. There were two sets, 8 PM and 9:30 PM. We thought that we had only purchases tickets for the first set but when that was over and no one was leaving we figured out that we could stay. So we did stay even though the chairs were so very uncomfortable.
We tried to buy IC cards to use on the trains but we could not the machine it to work. It turns out we were using the new 1000 yen bills that wont work on these machines. We swapped for old bills and now we have two new IC cards. We used these cards to take the \m train uptown to the jazz club.
