It was a long day of travel for us. The pre-ordered taxi came at 9 AM to take us to the Osaka shinkansen bullet train station. There we boarded our train to Tokyo. At 250 miles per hour the scenery zipps by so fast it is difficult to get a picture. At the Tokyo train station I popped over to the luggage storage area where we are storing our big bags. I got a few things out and then returned them to storage. In Japan, bags can not be stored for more than 15 days so we did two 14 day sections just to skirt the rule. Then we took a taxi to Haneda airport where we checked in to our flight to Sapporo. We had first class tickets and were very impressed with the service. There was no standing in line for us as the first class check in is in it's own room off of the main terminal. They have their own x-ray machine and entrance into the airport. Sweet deal for us. We spent the next three hours in the lounge and then another half hour as high winds delayed our take off. By the time we landed it was getting dark. We took the express train into Sapporo and then a taxi to our place. The next two weeks will be in this one spot and that is nice.
