8 April 2022 Washington DC Lunch at Sequoia

The Sequoia is in Georgetown, right on the banks of the Potomac River and next to the shared Swedish and Icelandic Embassy building.  We were able to see crews rowing on the river as well as lots of aircraft. The planes were normal but the helicopter traffic was puzzling.  Two of the helicopters had markings identifying them as police.   They were flying low and concentrating on the wooded area across the river in Virgina.  They went up and down the river five or six times.  A short time later we saw Marine 1, the helicopter version of Air Force 1. All that aside we had a lovely lunch.  Items consumed included a lobster and shrimp salad, fried calamari, grilled shishito peppers and a mound of spaghetti. At the end of lunch, a birthday treat for Gavin!
