Manuel Antonio Park

Aldo, our guide walked us through the park and spotted animals we never would have been able to see on our own.  After standing in line for 10 minutes we got into the park and saw bats within 100 feet of the entrance. They were on the underside of banana leaves.
I took this photo through the spotter scope that Aldo carried.   Soon a deer walked by almost sneaking by us.

Next creature on the trail was a three toed sloth, again through the scope.
It looks like he is doing a pull up
A deer came walking by and I only got a picture on my other camera. It was very slow an docile but some  kids tried to touch it which is forbidden.   We next saw a 6 inch long grasshopper that I was also unable to photograph but as luck would have it there was one on our door later that night.   Aldo said that some people choose to keep them as pets.
We saw another three toed sloth and then a two toed sloth.   They are nocturnal so he looks like a ball of fur.
Through the scope
Some photographic manipulation
The three toed sloth with a leaf looking like striped tail.  There. Was a howler monkey in a tree nearby. Aldo put the scope on it but I had to look three times to even see it. They blend in so well with the bark and he was laying down so all you could see was some fur. We continue down the trail and got to the beach area.
One of our drivers warned us about the white faced monkeys. He said that two or three of them would come up to the front looking all nice cute while another few would come behind and go through your stuff or just grab your bag. He says the woods around the beach are filled with passports keys glasses while it's everything you can imagine because the monkeys would run off with it thinking there might be food in there and then just drop it when there isn't.
Ok
Primates of all kinds wear-everywhere white faced monkeys white faced humans pink faced humans sunburn humans loud obnoxious humans and calm and relaxed humans
Nice sand
Nice water
Leslie and Aldo.  Yes it was hot!
Goodbye park
