16-18 July 2026 Sanford : Dinners, Cooking in Sanford and Such

We are into our 7th week of waiting  for our visas.  The average time for processing at Miami is 8 to 10 weeks so we are optimistic that soon we will get the call.  In the mean time we are making pickles, preserved lemons, stuffed peppers and we went out to dinner with the Griffins.  Of course there were birds about as well

If you cut off the eng of the cucumber that had the flower, the pickles will stay crisp

We love our pickles

Leslie makes a great preserved lemon

It is labor intensive

But worth it in the end

Speaking of ends...

The rain has encouraged the mushrooms to fruit

Trying to make gyros out of sausages

Not the worst ecperiment...

A much better burger.  I have always wanted restaurants to have little flags on each dish.  that way when they walk past with someone else's order you can get a peek and know what it is that you are seeing.

The provolone cheese looked eerily like skin

Getting them crispy helps

It has been 4 years and 43 days since we began our Migration
