A new day and the Newseum

We had a fine walk down to the Newseum.  It was a little warmer today than it has been and we worked up a bit of a sweat on our walk. The flowers and trees were blooming and we walked right past the capitol. The Newseum is a news themed Museum. It contains a bit if everything from a control room for a major News broadcasting Studio, to a portion of the Berlin Wall, to a display of all the presidents dogs, to a communication satellite, to Ted Kaczynski's shack. We concentrated on the FBI display and the Stone Wall Inn display. Both were in enlightning and insightful. The FBI display got a little heavy as it dealt with some hardcore violence and hatred.  Ironically The Stonewall Inn display also dealt with hardcore violence and hatred. On our way home the cab you told us that the building that houses this museum has already been sold. They are going to have to shut down which is unfortunate because it is so large and expensive we had hoped it to be able to visit again in the future.
