A sightseeing Tour on the Potomac and the Lincoln Memorial

We took a sightseeing Tour on the Potomac on the Nightingale. The Nightingale was a single deck tourist boat which was simple and easy to use. The other option was the water taxi which was a 2 and 1/2 hour trip and required 50 minutes at another location and seemed to be all too much. This gave us some extra time to go down to the Lincoln Memorial. We jumped in the taxi and got there very quickly. It was crowded all though not mobbed. We were able to get some good pictures and the side of the memorial had a steep smooth marble surface that several children were using for a slide. Super joined in and slid down several times to his enjoyment and ours.

If the space wasn't so big it would be really crowded.
