We reconnected on two levels. First was Duke and JP who we first met in Sri Lanka in March of 2025. This time we got to meet his lovely wife as well, Ana. Secondly we got to reconnect with our big bags. We sent these bags to Duke to store for us back in January. While we were in the US waiting for our visas, we did not want to lug the big bags everywhere. We did not anticipate that the bags would be sitting in his garage for so long and at this point we are scratching our heads wondering what is in these bags. We drove over to Dukes in the rain. It does not help that there are no straight roads in Bilbao, only curved roads that lead op a mountain or down a mountain. We also hit a bit of traffic so that never helps. They live in Algorta which is on the Atlantic just outside the seawall. We were welcomed into a lovely home filled with smiles and great energy. We put the suitcases into the car first thing so we would not forget. Then we gave JP some presents and we all went out to dinner. the restaurant had classic Spanish dishes and we shared some but also ordered some individual items.
