18 October 2026 Seville: The Jardin de los Delicias Festival

The Jardin de los Delicias is a recurring festival that moves all around Spain.  This year it was Madrid and Seville but it has been going on for almost a decade, since 2018.  It is located at the CAAC campus that also hosts a museum dedicated to contemporary art.  This campus has a very large exterior space suitable to hosting large events.  We drove over from the old town and parked in a new, very fancy parking lot.  The day was warm and we were dressed for the cool of the evening ao we would explore a bit, sit in the shade for a while and then explore some more.  there were only 21 seats in the VIP section and they were all filled.  We hovered over them for a half hour until some opened up and we snagged them.  Standing for the next 8 hours was not for us.  We had a bite and some drinks, met new people and talked to them.  Then the rains came and the covering we were under suddenly became the best spot in the entire venue.  It was wall to wall people as the rain was coming down sideways!  It blustered for a while and then rolled out and the blue sky came out again.  Sebastian would not start till 10 PM so we sat very comfortably and waited.
