17 October 2026 Seville: Road Trip to See a Show

One does not take a road trip without a car to take on the road.  So we rented a car.  There were some issues with finding the office of the rental car place, its good that I sorted it out the day before.  After that, the process was straight forward, I walked to the office showed my ID and was driving away in a few minutes.  We were all packed and when I pulled up to the apartment Leslie and I loaded the car quickly and were on our way to Seville.  The drive might take 2.5 hours as the mapping software would indicate, but our drive took a bit longer.  It is not that I am a slow driver but there were bicycles that passed us because I was taking my time.  At 3 PM we arrived to the hotel, checked in and took off on a hike to the park.  Parque is what they are called here and this one was the Parque de Maria Louisa.  We strolled randomly and it was very relaxing.  We shook off all the highway miles getting our shoes vary dirty in the process.  We walked for an hour and then had our standard Spanish dinner issues once we returned to the hotel.  Restaurants were open but not the kitchen, the room service had food but limited menu items.  We went to the store and bought a few things which we ate with some of the things we brought along.
