Organ concert at the St Stephan Basilica

We were checking in with the concierge who suggested an organ concert at st. Stephen's Basilica. We got to get to know the people around us and then went into the cavernous interior. After so many cathedrals and Abbey's on this trip, this one still stood out! The concert was exceptional. We had the organ player flute player and a tenor all contributing to the concert. The finale was Toccoa in Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The Corinthia Royal Spa

After a long trek to the lunch restaurant we came back and explored the spa! it was quite beautiful.  It had a relatively cool pool, a medium temperature hot tub and a hot temperature hot tub. It also has to saunas one steam room in an experience shower. The experience shower head hot water cold water mist different coloured lights.  I'm not sure what experience I was supposed to have besides confusion. All in all it was a very fine spa.

Off to the Corinthia and then lunch

We checked out from the boat, jumped in the taxi and arrived at the Corinthia Hotel. We dropped  off our bags amd took off right away. We took a walk to Heroes Square. It sure did get warm today and the walk took about half an hour.  Thar put a bit of a strain on our fellow travellers. Luckily for us we went to the Gund restaurant and soak up the AC for a leisurely luxury European lunch.

Evening cruise on the Danube

We had a lovely cruise on the Danube after dinner. The temperature and wind were perfect. Budapest is lit up with all the monuments and all the buildings bright as day. So bright that the  camera would not flash because it was fooled by the ambient light.  As we went under the different bridges Hungarians were cheering and whooping it up as Hungary had just tied an important soccer match.
