6 September 2026 Fuengirola: Back to the Traveling Leip Lifestyle

As the title of this entry implies we are back to our old ways of travel planning.  We had much to do, as we were a bit stuck without our passports.  The uncertainty did not allow us to make very detailed plans. First up was the imminent trip to the north of Spain.  We leave on the 8th and head to Santiago de Compostela.  We will spend a week seeing this city and also taking the local trains all around the Galicia region.  We will then get a car and drive to Gijon, Santander and Bilbao.  The car will allow for a more detailed exploration of the Asturias, Cantabria and Bosque regions.  While in Bilbao we will get reacquainted with the big bags that we shipped to Spain from Cyprus all those many months ago.  We are also planning a trip to the Canary Islands in January, a trip to Morocco in February and our safari to Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascar in September.  This required lots of time and luckily, time is what we have in abundance.  While we were not planning we were exploring further afield in Fuengirola.  Highlights of this time include getting our physical insurance cards, booking a Doctors appointment and filling some prescriptions.  Buying a new water-flosser and promptly exchanging it for one that actually worked.  Booking rooms and flights for Northern Spain and the Canary Islands.  Hashing out where in Morocco to visit and how to fit in the additional places we want to see on our Safari.  It is good to be back!
