We headed out for another walk along the coastal road. Starting at Dimma Beach, the place we left off last time, we headed off to the north west. It started out sunny but the wind picked up and clouds started building off to the west. We had to pick and choose our way as the direction of the path was no too clear. Just when we thought the path had ended we saw someone walking up higher on the ridge and we were able to reconnect with the path and proceed. Eventually the risk reward calculation swung over to the "head home and stay dry" side and we returned to the car. We stopped off at the store for the last bit of Christmas dinner shopping.
Fishing
A steep part of the path
Mersini Beach, our half way point
The wind is reduced in the valleys and these little breakwaters allow for swimmers to enjoy the water
A sandpiper!
Will we be able to make it over there?
Th black panther is lies in wait for unsuspecting prey to walk by
A sheltered path through the reeds
The houses here are high end
Much more stylish and less blocky
It looks lie we have reached an impasse
The black redstart says keep on trying
The facades on the houses are all different
A nice touch
We have found the path again. It passes an active construction site
We shall proceed
Looking back to the last promontory
The path continues, but we decide not to risk the rain that seems to be building to the west
A tricky fishing spot
Very rocky and St. Georges Beach is off in the distance, next time...
A ship shaped kids play center
Time to turn around
Is it being built or being torn down?
A nice sheltered cove
This place was for sale
Right next to the place being torn down. The had the same architecture so it was hard to figure out why one is up for sale and one is only good to tear down
The black panther has found it's prey, a big bag of cat food
The laughing dove is not amused
We stopped off at the store on the way home and the snails have escaped their enclosure
I don't think I would want to buy these greens
But we did buy a rabbit for our Christmas eve dinner
It required some butchering and then marination. I quartered the bunny and cooked the smaller parts for stock. I used the stock to make the gravy
The rain arrived just in time to redden up the sunset
And then it was gone
A sliver of a moon
