We did a bit of trip planning around the cruise from Athens to Dubrovnik. After lunch we headed out to take a walk. The plan was to walk through the park and cross the river at the Goodwill Bridge. We wanted to walk along the bluffs 0on the south side at the waters edge. We did not have a set destination in mind. As we walked it appeared that it would be shorter to continue on to the East and recross the river at the Story Bridge. This is the bridge that people climb up to see the sunset. I did not start the trip counter at the very beginning so the section from the apartment to the park was not recorded. So we will round the 4.5 miles up to 5 miles. We walked past the Maritime museum and saw a variety of boats. Then we proceeded along the river front on a variety of walkways, concrete and wooden. We saw rock climbing, picnicking, beer ponging, dog walking, biking, running and exercising. At the end of the walkway we climbed the hill to the Story Bridge. We walked over the bridge and to the other side. We had been in this area before where the Felon's Brewery was located. Then we headed back down Queen street and back to the apartment.

This is perhaps the largest drinking fountain we have ever seen. It memorializes two things. First it memorializes James Moony a fireman who lost his life fighting a fire nearby this site. Second it memorializes the connection of the public water supply to the reservoir at Enoggera. The water would come pout of the lions mouth at the base
