Toady we took a walk through the Queens Park to see how the flowers have done with the recent rains giving them water. We decided to celebrate the "180 days of traveling" milestone with a nice dinner, some drinks and a walk through festive Brisbane. We booked a table at Black Fire and ordered the Chef's Selection (https://blackfirerestaurant.com/). This was a prix fixe selection that included chorizo, scallops, pumpkin arancini and prosciutto, as starters and grilled rump roast and slow cooked suckling lamb as the mains. All this for $65 ADU ($44 USD) each. That was a nice deal. Leslie got a G'nT and I ordered a New Zealand red. We were glad that there was no dessert included as there would not have been anywhere to put it. A dessert of sorts came out anyway, two glasses of sherry! Not one to leave any task unfinished, I helped Leslie out with her drink. This explains my expression in the above picture. Weeee! We walked around the Queen Street Pedestrian mall. Lots of folks were out enjoying the decorations and shopping. We wove in and out of the shops riding the escalators like amusement park rides. This ensured that we got our 10,000 steps in for the day.
