7 November 2022 Brisbane: The Brisbane Art Gallery Museum

We exercised first, Leslie danced the Zumba and swam double what I did on Saturday.  A quick walk over the Victoria Bridge took us to the Brisbane Art Gallery.  It was yet another great free activity that epitomizes Brisbane.  Lots of great art, both domestic and international, political and pastoral, modern and ancient..  We were really taken back by the art coming out of Papua New Guinea.  Like the piece above,  it speaks to the pull of the modern world away from tradicional life, dress and attitudes.  We will be back to see the rest.  We soaked up the works and then drank a cuppa tea in the café.

In the center of the square is where all wires are attached.   The square is a plotter that moves the attachment point to spell out letters

The wires then run up the wall

Over the ceiling

And attach to these various pieces of burnt wood and ochre covered rocks

The movement of these items make individualized, seeming random marks on the wall

Some of them quite delicate and pretty

Like an inkblot I see many things

A giant tree that we sat under and drank some tea

Another water dragon, but this one was in a tree

They will bite!
