The Botanical Gardens were steamy and hot the last time we visited. So this time an earlier start was warranted. It was busy with joggers and walkers so keeping off the main tracks seemed like a good plan. My first trail was up and down in addition to right and left. It led to the Lily Pond where I had some breakfast. Then I followed the creek path. From the three mile track above it can be seen that much zigging and zagging is the result of looking for birds. There were not many to be seen right until up to the end where four new "lifebirds" were spotted. Oriental Fairy Bluebird, Red Eyed Bulbul, Olive Winged Bulbul and Common Tailorbird. Malaysia has been good for the bird list, 20 new ones in 22 days!
The start of the gardens
Aggressive monkeys!
So early that the street lights were still on
A dark path that I took up the hill
Palm tree
Lily pond
Lots of flowers
Off to the next spot
Tall trees
Cool roots hanging down
Big flowers and small ones too
The sun had made it over the hill and is shining on the other hill
Nice flowers
Down to another water feature
The stairs and a bridge to the left
Bamboo
Yellow leaves surrounding the flowers
More trees
The most scenic spot in the gardens
The water flows through the rocks giving a nice sound
These monkeys have a safety bar to hold on to
Yikes a ant covered log
A huge tree in bloom
Large bunches of flowers
Another lily pond
A beautiful purple bloom
Lily pads
Pink and white
Some bugs?
The pedals peeling back
Three is the charm
