Schonbronn Castle Vienna

We chose to tour Schonbronn Castle today over a walking tour of Vienna. This was the better choice due to a steady rain that fell all morning. This. Castle was tge summer home to the last of the Hapsburgs. The Empress  ArchDutchess Mary Theresa was ruler of the Austrians, the Czech, the Bosnians, the Slovakians an Slovenians plus parts of Italy an Romania. At the time Austria was 5 times bigger and Vienna the 6th largest city in the world. The castle is immense and opulent. Each floor has a different design of wood inlay. We saw the castle,  a demo of strudel making and stuck our head into the carriage museum.  We drove the ring road but there is too much Vienna for only one day. We will have to return.
