Neither Leslie nor I were able to get to sleep before midnight last time. Blame it on the time change or our late night activities at the Blue Lagoon. We slept in, but as soon as we got up we were out and about in Reykjavik. We took a walk to see the Viking boat sculpture, and then continued walking along the Waterfront to the HARPA. We're watching birds and the water, because the colour was so beautiful, and then we saw what look like two very large birds. They were very large because they were people and they were out swimming pretty far out. As we walked closer they were swimming towards shore and I got a couple good pictures. If you need to be convinced that the Icelandic people are a hardy breed, then look at these pictures and he will understand. Leslie and I were wearing hats and were bundled up and these guys are in the water swimming.
The Viking boat sculpture
Perhaps it is a bolt of forks
Dressed correctly for the weather
Not even all that dressed
If you look close Centre top you can see the two heads bobbing in the water
Now they have to Wade through a couple of metres of seaweed
How to get into Shore they have to climb up 10 m of a rock embankment
The pink skin indicates how cold it really is
