After breakfast Leslie and I returned to the seating area on the third deck. There was a beautiful breeze, the sea was still very calm and we were just having a blast. I saw something in the distance and it seemed to be seabirds but I could not be sure. As I went down to the room to get the binoculars, our guide Luis started yelling dolphins dolphins dolphins! There was no need to look through the binoculars because there were dozens of dolphins straight ahead of the boat. Once they knew we were there, they turned, changed course and headed straight for us. Six or seven of them were swimming the bow wake on either side of the boat. Some went under the boat and came up on the other side. I climbed down to the first deck at the very front of the boat to get some good pictures. Leslie stayed up on the third deck. She was able to see how many there were and the path that they took. I was able to get some close-up shots although I missed the dolphins that jumped completely out of the water, spinning as they flew through the air. At the very end of it a manta ray swam under the boat and was quickly out of range of a picture. Yet another animal that was too fast for me.
