Las Bachas

Las Bachas is a pair of sandy beaches located on the northern part of Santa Cruz. It is named because there are two abandoned barges there that ran aground back in the 40s. Just small remnants are left but it is also a place where there is a saltwater Marsh. We saw flamingos in the marsh. As well as a black necked stilt.  there were some ducks and other seabirds, a heron  that we saw and it was a nice little walk through the sand. Most folks took a swim and then we were off to the bus back to the lodge.
