We went to to the Fine Arts Museum for an afternoon of browsing. It was three stories of art works. We started at the top and enjoyed ourselves greatly on our way to the ground level. In addition to paintings and sculptures there were sections that highlighted traditional Vietnamese folk crafts. Wood carvings, bronze casting, painting on glass, ceramic works, woodcut printing, gold smithing and carving marble were crafts that were displayed. In the descriptions, the time line of craftwork was laid out. For several of the locations the craft had died out only to be resurrects by the government before it was completely lost.
