The Sunshine Coast Marathon was a pretty big deal. Streets were closed, access was limited and lots of runners were in town for the event. The starting point and ending points were close to or house, see map below. We do not know when the starting time was. But around 8:15, when we got out of bed, folks were already running past the house. Since we were close to the finish, these folks must be ready to finish the race. We saw all levels of runners from high school age kids sprinting by to older folks just plugging along. There were people pushing baby carriages and running with some sort of supped up walker system. Great entertainment for us to enjoy.
