We took bus number 615 to Landsborough and then the train to Brisbane Central, total cost $1 AUD for both of us. We walked over to the Marriott and checked in. We unloaded our small bags and then headed back out. We made a beeline for the Trove Bar that Leslie found on the the interweb. Trove has a classic vibe with lots of wooden shelves, and a stuffed lioness in the front. We got there right after they opened and there was only a single employee there at that time of day. In short order the place became super busy. Brent was "the" employee and he was greeter, barback, bartender and server, at least until 5:30 when more workers were set to arrive. We kept him busy with our orders and our banter. He had to look up the gimlet that I ordered. Leslie made up a new name for the kind of martini that she likes and she now orders "Filthy" martinis! The Australian Gin selection was extensive and we got a few new gins; Australian Distilling Navy Gin, Sheep's Whey Gin and Three Cuts Gin. Brent told us about an app called the "Bartender's Choice," you can let it decide what drink you are in the mood for by answering a few questions. We headed out and stopped off at Ichiban, our favorite sushi place in Brisbane. We walked back to the hotel from there and the full moon lit our way home,
The police were checking folks on the train but they just walked right past us
