Yes, it was a festival of sorts. It was Family Day at the Victoria House and Grounds. There was live music, police dogs on display, pony rides, food trucks, face painting, an informative CSI type display and more. We heard the sounds of talking on a microphone from our backyard and wondered what was up. Leslie was busy puttering in the garden so I went out to investigate. It was further than I thought it would be, clear on the other side of the park and hidden behind a tall wall. I arrived on the wrong side of the wall. It was a bit creepy walking along the wall but with all the noise going on behind the wall it was a bit easier. I may have been a bit spooked by the talk of haunted areas in the park. However I found a gate and walked into the mayhem of Family day. Kids were running everywhere, dogs and families were everywhere and it was so crowded that I did not recommend to Leslie that we return. Our AirBnB host, Neil, did visit the celebration and stopped by to see how we were doing. He and his wife will be going on holiday until the day after we move on and he wanted to introduce us to his daughter. We were pleased to see that our full month booking gave them some down time that they could devote to themselves.
