The forecast called for rain so we stayed close to town. I ran to the store while Leslie danced. The bougainvillea are superb along this walk. I spotted a few birds and also some trees laden with fruit. After lunch it got darker and darker until the flashes of lightning lit everything up. The storm that came with the lightning show was so intense with water came into the apartment. Sheets of rain and more lightning went on for some time. The wind was very strong as well. In the picture above you can see the rain water coming off of the white ledge in a vertical sheet. The water that came in must have come in through the AC unit on the wall. It was pooled by the door and I opened the door to see if that was the source of the water. Instead, I found Stubby the cat there, soaking wet and very vocal. We fed her some chicken and while she was eating I was able to towel her off a bit. We left the towel out for her to sit on while drying herself off. The sunset got nicer and nicer as the evening wore on.
Hi neighbor!
Oranges and pomegranates
Full bloom
A garden to be proud of
Huge bougainvillea
Coal Tit
Made a rock duck
Had to add the wire eye
When the storm hit! The water is blasting off of the white ledge on the right in a vertical spray
Light at the end of the storm
Purple mountains
Still some rain
Great glowing skies
This rain did not make it to us
Stubby was able to get dry after the storm blew through
The sky was still turbulent
But the storm had passed
Winding down
Settling down with some blue skies off in the distance
