Our morning routine was joined by a big regatta going on in the next bay over. There may have been 100 small sailboats or more out there. We only have a relatively small view of the water so it was quite possible that there were additional boats that did not make it into the pictures. We unpacked more of our stuff since we will be here for 28 days total. Then we walked to the market and then over to the Taverna. We had to wait for about 10 minutes but were then seated outside with a view of the water. The food was quite good and even though we did not think that we had eaten all that much, we certainly had to digest for a while once we got home.
This Eurasian Magpie was chattering up a storm in a tree right outside
I zoomed in and counted 89 sail boats with half a dozen support boats
91 sailboats including the big one
A sea of people having a great Sunday afternoon feast
The bar was surprisingly empty
Tis is a brilliant idea. Instead of ordering appetizers, a tray of the appetizers is brought to each new table and they can select what they want immediately
Fish roe dip, pickles veggies and grape leaves, we chose wisely
My "duo" jug of wine
Saganaki cheese
Leslie got some Boce fish
A large order of grilled calamari
One huge fish getting carved up the the table next to us
It looked like some of the small sailboats were getting towed back into the dock
The bathrooms were located downstairs
A trident for the men
A mermaid tail for the women
Pretty cute
