8 November 20323 Vouliagmeni: A Loss of Power Changes Plans

We had planned on working in the garden and trip planning for Japan today.  But just as were were getting started the power went out.  I had seen smallish paper signs taped to conspicuous places along the streets but I thought it was a notice for parking issues.  It turns out the power got turned off for tree trimming around the power lines.  So we adjusted our plan and jumped on the 122 bus.  There is a Marks and Spencer's 7 km to the north and we made a bee line for it.  Next door was an electronics shop where I bought a new USB-C to HDMI adaptor to replace the broken one I had.  Then we bought some essentials and poked our heads into some of the shops.  After a few hours we headed back and stopped at Tokyo Joes for some sushi.  It was very good and it hit the spot.  We got back to the place and the power was back on so we planned more of pour trip to Japan in April.  We were able to see shows on the big TV now that we have a functioning adaptor.  After it was dark we heard the Eurasian Scops Owl again.
