Since we did not get into our room till almost 2AM it is no wonder that we slept till noon. But noon in Doha is only 9 AM London time so it was not even sleeping in. I wore my new Qatar Airlines jammies and was making quite the fashion statement. We managed to get ourselves together enough to take a walk around 5:30 and we were treated with the big full rising moon. Since it was Friday we watched groups of folks drive up to the open lot next door. They set up rugs, chairs and ovens to have a waterside cookout. As we walked along the water the smell of their cooking was most enjoyable. We poked our heads into the Tahitian Village next to the Trader Vic's restaurant. Then we sat in the lobby for a while watching all the various folks. Back in the room for showers and some hand washing.
A pubic beach with lots of folks in the water
A regatta of sailboats
A mad max survival van
Our neighborhood
No end of watercraft
This little jetty is where we took a walk
These are boats that look loke cars
The jetty was filled with folks fishing
These traditional sailing ships are used for sightseeing tours. One appears to being tower by the other

Our hotel
The moon rose out of the clouds
It was very orange
Like a huge pumpkin
The night boat excursions are heading out
Looking back at the city from the jetty
Across the bay
Stopped in the lobby to people peep
