20 October 2024 Doha: Off to the Souq Waqif

I took off at 7:30 AM for a walk.  I thought it would be before the heat of the day, but it was in the upper 90's by 8AM.  It was just plain hot.  I saw two new birds and got some good pictures of the skyline.  We waited for the sun to go down before we headed back out to the Souq Waqif market.  We saw the car-boat tearing it up out on the water.  We did some serious travel tune ups with Leslie's new passport number.  The Souq was fun and we were amazed by how polite the vendors were.  After the badgering by the Egyptian vendors and the smoke filled market in. Istanbul we were ready for battle.  But once we were there it was all smiles and hellos and no badgering by the vendors.  What a refreshing experience

Is that a car or a boat?

Oh yes it is a boat!

The sun is setting so it is cooling off enough to head to the Souq

What actually is going on in here?

The night is lit up

These grand steps lead back up to the lobby, we took the lift
