Magic Mountain is a mountain and is also the name of the lodge that we are visiting. It was a half hour away and Jun was determined to get a few more birds in. We had a chance on seeing a Torrent Lark at the stream by the village. John and Jun saw two of them while I was busy taking my time on the trail. John went downstream to try to chase them upstream toward us but that did not work. My unofficial count was 48 and I wanted to see two more birds. So off we went. The road leading up the mountain was pretty bad and we were all oofing and owing in the 4x4. But it was a success with two new birds seen at the feeder. We sat at the feeder and watched quietly. It was pretty evident that all of us were tired and as soon as we got the second bird we decided to head back. Once I got back to Australia and was able to see my pictures on the computer, the total at this point in the was actually 58 new birds.
